Lakers quiet the Thunder
In a spectacular win of 101 to 85, the Lakers dominate the Oklahoma City Thunder. There were moves made by Kobe Bryant and Shannon Brown that looked it came straight out of a video game. Here’s a behind-the-backboard shot from Kobe.
And here’s an amazing dunk by Brown with an assist from Jordan Farmar.
Tonight’s game: the new Lakers?
Game 4 is at the Staples Center on Nov 5th. It’ll be a big one; check out TLNs preview (as listed in News, below). Are the Lakers ready? We’ll see. Once thing is for sure, the team is starting to gel. If they can continue to devise new offensive plays, they will be better off, even if it’s a bumpy road at the start. Other related news: Staples Center is undergoing a bit of transformation. For tonight’s game, spectators will be treated to a new section of seats in the upper pavillion.
Kobe dominates in 4th
Kobe scores 14 of his 33 points Saturday night to pull away with a win over the Denver Nuggets. This hardly touches on the recent ravings about the latest Guitar Hero commercial, featuring Kobe along with four other star-studded celebrity athletes, including Tony Hawk, Alex Rodriguez, and recent Olympic Winner, Michael Phelps. Pro Sports mentions the commercial here. Laker fans are wondering if this will be just a typical performance when we’re further into the season and we have a more averaged statistic from the MVP. Game analysts suspect that Kobe will continue to score most of his points in the fourth, during which he’s most lethal and most difficult to contain.
Lakers beat Denver
Lakers beat the Nuggets in Denver for their 8th straight win over their opponent. In other related news, days after being dropped from the Laker roster, Coby Karl signed with the Denver Nuggets, where his father is head coach, you can read more here.
Hello world!
Welcome to WordPress.com. This is your first post. Edit or delete it and start blogging! I started this blog because I loved the Lakers ever since Kobe joined Shaq in the 96-97 season. I really don’t know why but I was introduced to the then basketball phenom in a commercial for Sprite, he was 17 at the time and I suppose it tickled my own fantasies of becoming a NBA basketball player one day.
